PRIT

Makaton is a language programme that uses signs and/or symbols, always with speech in spoken word order, to enable people of all ages and abilities to communicate.

Prit is a Makaton Ambassador at The Makaton Charity HQ and International Trainer, and has been delivering the full range of Makaton workshops since 2008 to professionals, parents and carers in the UK - and internationally in British Makaton approved regions.

Prit was the first to formalize and expand the use of British Makaton in the UAE. She continues to promote its use internationally from early years as a highly effective ‘communication tool’ within mainstream school and specialist settings – supporting the communication and language needs of all individuals.

Prit also provides training and advisory services - onsite or online - within a range of settings, e.g. educational, medical, and performing arts; guiding organizations on how best to use Makaton to promote an inclusive environment. As well as developing and running a range of bespoke projects, as an Ambassador Prit supports The Makaton Charity, and has featured on their sign of the week videos.
