Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based, best practice treatment for individuals with disabilities, especially young children with Autism and social communication difficulties. It offers individualized programs and interventions that are geared toward achieving socially-important goals, helping people be more successful in natural settings.
kidsFIRST’s ABA team is led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) who conducts assessment and supervises our ABA therapy team that includes a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® (BCaBA®) and Registered Behavior Technicians® (RBT®).
ABA therapy uses measurable, positive reinforcement to help realize meaningful behavior change.
ABA therapy helps:
• increase language and communication skills
• improve attention, focus, social skills, memory and academics
• teach skills that allow individuals to be more successful and less reliant on problem behavior to meet their needs
• empower short and long term independence and success
