Ana-Paula has a Masters in Philosophy, specializing in teaching. Originally from South Africa, she has lived in Dubai for three years. For over thirty years, she has been involved in various facets of education, as a primary teacher, art specialist teacher, head of pre-school, university lecturer training teachers, researcher and author of mathematics schoolbooks and pedagogic textbooks.

Ana-Paula’s passion is the teaching and learning of primary mathematics and she has presented many parent and teacher workshops inspiring children, teachers and parents to develop a love for the beauty of mathematics. Using a reflective practice approach to teaching and learning, critical thinking and problem-solving strategies have been at the heart of her practice.
